COMPANY & N3L OPTICS

By: Justin Stephens

A good friend of ours, Matty Swanson @ Oakley, put us in touch with one of Oakley’s retail partners called N3L Optics for a “Polorized” campaign that they we’re working on this month. They really wanted to showcase the “Active” lifestyle of action sports, and figured that dropping some of the products and tools that athletes are using out there would be a great way to convey that message. We agree, hahaha…

Thanks a ton for the hook-up Matty, and thanks a ton for the opportunity N3L!

CO’S MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

By: Justin Stephens

First and foremost, we would like to acknowledge the fact that we live in a free country because of the sacrifices that a lot of really brave people made for all of us, past and present and even into the future…We would not be able to do what we’re doing now if it wasn’t for those people. I’m not the type to get all sentimental in public really, but I love America!!!

This is what the Co Crew hammered out over the weekend…

- Nicola Bulter took 1st place at Masters.
- Marc Rossiter took 2nd place at Nokia Fise in France.
- Randall, Eddie and Jaret had a Co demo day on the Delta.

Way to go crew…Doin’ work!!! Stoked.

NICOLA WINS MASTERS!

By: Justin Stephens

I watched the event online, and have to say it looked like things were a little tricky towards the end of all the riders second passes especially. Just not the most “epic” riding situation towards the end as far as the weather/conditions were concerned. From what I could tell it seemed as though it required the riders to play it smart if they wanted to stand up, which Nicola did. Nicola busted it out nice and solid on her first pass, and then as the conditions got progressively worse into her second pass, she kept it as solid and smooth as possible and muscled through the rough conditions. You could tell that she wanted to keep busting out her super technical wizard like maneuvers, haha, but also made sure that she would ride away standing up, which she did perfectly…Nice work Nicola!

Check out Nicolas BIO on our site HERE.

FEELIN’ THE BUG …

By: Justin Stephens

I’m starting to get the “filmer dude” bug again. Here’s a little frame grab from a film shoot we had a while ago (See Below or click HERE). I’ll let you try to guess who it is. In the meantime I’m gonna mess around with a few of these shots and see if I can whip a little something up for you to peek at…Nothing official, just something to kinda get my brain sparkin’ again…It all depends on if I can find the flow or not though, it’s been a while! Haha…

Photographer Joey Meddock Launches The New Meddock.com

May 1st, 2009. Orlando FL — Joey Meddock has spent the past six months diligently working on a new photography website, Meddock.com. Camera aside and keyboard at hand, Meddock has created an online experience showcasing an extensive 10-year portfolio, a daily blog, and a unique new store featuring various photo merchandise, apparel, and a 180-page photo book.

Meddock is an acclaimed wake photographer, editor and entrepreneur. He was honored at the 2007 Wake Awards as the Photographer of the Year, and founded The Standerd, an award-winning quarterly publication. Joey has traveled to dozens of countries with his camera, capturing numerous cover shots, fascinating images of life, landscapes, sports, and the natural art that surrounds us.

“Without a doubt, this has been the best 10 years of my life. I’m so excited to have the best photos of my career displayed through this innovative website,” says Meddock. “Digging up a decade’s worth of photos has been a lengthy process, but a fun opportunity to reflect. All my favorite past advertisements, cover shots, and portfolio photos are rolled into Meddock.com. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my 10-year photo anniversary.”

While the Blog acts as a daily photo stream, the Portfolio section of Meddock.com covers a wide range of images in a unique online book format. The photos, placed into categories like Action, Aerial, Art, People, Places, Studio, Wakeboard and Wakeskate, appear within a digital document where the viewer can turn the page, zoom in, or link to order merchandise featuring select photographs.

Various photos can be found on t-shirts, skateboards, mouse pads, postcards, neckties, postage, even mugs and drinkware.

For a limited time, the Store at Meddock.com is featuring a 180-page photo book titled, Meddock Photography: 10 Years. This coffee-table-style photo book covers the best of the best and is a piece of history that deserves to be shared, kept on the book shelf, or both. It’s the perfect gift for all photo buffs or wake gurus.
